Radio, Radio

Crank up our online radio station, broadcasting 24-7-365 since July 2, 2003. Over 650 riffs in continuous play. That's over 40 hours of no-repeat, choice listening. Visceral punk, facetious rock, splattered word, lovely melodies, anthems, ballads, and shades of other raw underbelly stuff you wouldn't want the goon squads of whatever stripe to know you crave.

Question: What do Laibach, Bob Dylan, Rorschach Test, Dropkick Murphys, the Ramones, Wilderkin, 9353, Joan Jett, Assemblage 23, Iggy Pop, Rancid, Sisters of Mercy, Jesus & Mary Chain, L7, Plasmatics, Birmingham 6, VNV Nation, Covenant, Wumpscut, Ministry, Control Theory, Rammstein, KMFDM, Testify, Kill Switch Klick, Cubanate, Apoptygma Berzerk, Goethes Erben, NoFX, X-Ray Spex, GBH, DRI, DOA, Minutemen, Government Issue, Fortification 55, Laibach, Immoral Discipline, and William S. Burrroughs all have in common?

Answer: They all get extensive airplay right here on Radio Scenewash.

WARNING: Among the fistful of pastoral or happy-face ballads I spin to spot the tempo and counterbalance the heavy beats which dominate my playlists, I also log a broad mix of rowdy punk and industrial goth wattage, artists who do not always adhere to the adage of keeping a civil tongue in one's cheek, SO BE WARNED. This is SUBSCRIPTION radio. In this decidedly unAmerican political climate where forbidden words and scant glimpses of integral human flesh trump the media spectacle which barages us with ruthless violence culminating in smug politically-calculated "safety-first" shock & awe bomb tactics, as examples of sinful and punishable activities, please folks, think first. If language offends you or you are too young to possess certain words, please go away and find something more appropriate to your present condition.

Music for the New American Patriot...

Radio Scenewash spans the rock spectrum. If you like your radio to punch out the same sound song after song, avoid the SWORG. Boasting some 8000 plus tracks in our archives, we mix hardcore, punk, industrial goth, classic rock, and an occasional smathering of hip hop, r&b, ska, folk, electronic, news reel, and spoken word material drawn from the 1920s forward. The battleground of religious, political, and social angst is on parade. War is in our midst. The bulk of airplay is devoted to 1980-90s proto punk and its older siblings, where melody and beat meets lyric, history meets timelessness, and new classics crystallize with every juxtaposition. Mixing it up to mimic the thrash and bromide of the REAL WORLD in conflict and resolve, thus mirroring the stoneground soundtrack stomping through the blood-washed stalls of my own bittersweet head.
